Maxwell Market
Maxwell Market had a very colourful past as it begins from a burial ground to today's famous for its food even Lonely Planets recommend for tourist who visits Singapore a must to go place for savouring the local food. In its early years, the street hawkers plying around Tanjong Pagar, Kreta Ayer and Telok Ayer prefer to take up to avoid paying rent. Today Maxwell Hawker Centre is famous for many of the local food Chicken Rice, Oyster Cake, Fried fritters and so on. For me, I prefer the China Street Hainanese Curry Rice my favourite and occasionally go for Chicken Rice but opt for the no queue stall. Today we wait for the completion of the MRT Line of the Maxwell Station on the Thomson East Coast Line.
