Telok Ayer Market

Lau Pa Sat or Telok Ayer Market is one of the oldest Victorian structure in South East Asia with its prefabricated cast iron in Asia and the only remaining market serving the residents in the central district in early Singapore. it was built-in 1824 as a fish market along the waterfront and started in 1824 and had it rebuilt in 1838 and finally, relocated and rebuilt at the present location 1894 till present day and currently a food court with stalls selling a variety of local cuisine. Today it serves the office workers and tourist around the Central Business District. Due to the present pandemic, a number of stalls are not in operation hope the situation will be back as per normal.
