Rediscover Singapore - Upper Seletar Reservoir

Upper Seletar Reservoir was once known as Seletar Reservoir Park before the completion of the Lower Seletar Reservoir near Nee Soon (Yishun) formed by damning up the mouth of the Seletar River in 1986. It is the third impounding reservoir after Macritchie Reservoir and also the Upper and Lower Pierce Reservoir as it is called today and is located in the Central Water Catchment area in Singapore. The Seletar Reservoir was built with the surge with demand after World War 1 the construction begin in 1939 and complete in 1940 and was finally officially opened in 1969 by Princess Alexandra. The famous icon is the Rocket Tower.
