The last aquarium we had was Van Kleef Aquarium is an oceanarium located in Fort Canning Park and was open to the public in 1955 and closed in 1991 and finally demolished in 1998. The aquarium had a collection of 100,000 marine animals of over 1,000 species, across 50 different habitats.
