To meet the future needs of air traveller in these regions of South East Asia, and to cater for the tourist's numbers and also to increase the space around 70 per cent to Terminal 1 Jewel was born from the former open car park it is to be a natured theme retail complex on the inside of Changi Airport and is linked to the other Terminal 2 & 3 by linked travelator bridges and also the world tallest waterfall with its Rain Vortex which is surrounded by terraced forest setting. Jewel includes a garden, a hotel and about 300 retail and dining outlets with convenience early check-in. The other attractions besides the Rain Vortex are the Shiseido Forest Valley, The Canopy Park and Maze, Skynet's, Discovery Slides, Foggy Bowls and Changi Experience Studios.
